Zi Char, is a Hokkien term used in Singapore to describe a Chinese food stall which provides a wide selection of local delight and affordable dishes which is akin to home-cooked meals.

It’s our #AUHFoodTrail member : Francis Kok’s recommendation of Zichar : Hong Kong styled by Chef Tse, who came to Singapore 🇸🇬 during 1997 Hong Kong handover to China 🇨🇳. Making good in life here now ...
His stall situated just after the famed stall : Ikan Bilis Wong Tau Foo, at an obscured corner ... he has his regular supporters and as we finished our meal at 2:00pm, all the hang Chicken and roasted char siew meat were SOLD OUT ! ... he can literally closed for the day !😮 🤩
Our sumptuous menu:
1. Sweet & Sour Fried Fish w/ pineapple 🍍 & capsicum: Old School way of ZiChar cooking with Tomatoes sauce; freshly fried fish and crispy fish skin and tender fish inside ! Our favourite 😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍
2. Roasted Char Siew & peanuts 🥜: HK styled of Char Siew caramelised and moist meat always stand out well ; part lean, part fat and part of ribs; tenderised meat too ! Also our strong flavour it’s 😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍
3. Oyster 🦪 Vegetables : a little salted as the oyster sauce poured direct w/o any sugar added or processed; vegetables cooked right and great fibre balanced for us ! ⭐️
4. Beef Brisket : tenderised and well stewed Beef with intense great flavour ! 😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍
As I observed on the side-lined... Chef Tse, humbled; man of few words and work diligently and let his dishes speak for himself ! With rave review with media; his Zichar HK styled business shall flourish with great following ! Highly recommended for group dining with his signature dishes repertoire ! 🤩 ⭐️
After our meal, we walked 200m across the other end of the Hawker Centre to complete our meal with a trained Barista freshly brewed coffee @ hawker price from Lim’s Cafe #02-31. ☕️ 👍 ... to date : my 2nd one I have seen in Hawker Centre setting.
As Always ... It’s HK styled ZiChar and Barista Freshly Brewed Coffee @ Chinatown FC ... Yummily 😋 Great 👍!
