Are U Hungry 😋?
@ Blk 681 Hougang Ave 8, Bgain 681 Old Street Coffee House, stall : Mee Rebus (Muslim).
Ordered tabao container of Mee Rebus @$3.20, inclusive.
What’s so good 😊?
This unassuming stall sells most of the Malay/ Muslim local delights food. I decided upon Mee Rebus as I kind of craving for it ...
Mee Rebus invoked a strong memory recollection, an encounter which I shall always remembered, as it may potentially break up this Facebook group : “Are U Hungry 😋? ” (AUH)
Why ? a fellow Facebook friend from another group, texted me via Messenger one morning about 2.5 months ago when AUH was just 1.5 months old only, highlighted to me that her Mee Rebus pictured & her write out was posted here just days ago ... I rationalised her argument and requested for her posting for comparison and verification !
It was like... OMG ! 😮 an exact replica and that truly violated the basic principle of Intellectual Property(IP) copyright. I told myself that swift action needed, so I check with the lady whom posted and she denied vehemently but unable to tell me the real truth till todate.
Nevertheless, she exited and removed her posting immediately ... After which I apologised to this Facebook friend Ms Lucinda Lau for being too careless and immediately taken action to post in an announcement that everyone shall be held responsible and accountable to what we post and what we do it must be ethically right and NOT to violate IP and copyright law.
After that incident, I thought to myself ! What a close shave and how may I redeem myself ? I decided to text her a day later, as I like her frank, direct plus her amazing culinary skill, was great and I cannot just let her pass me, so I shared with her ... how about simultaneously post her culinary dishes here too and gained a friendship and make new friends ... without much hesitation, she agreed readily ... the rest as they said, become history ! 😮 🤩 🙏🏻
Now, Ms Lucinda Lau blogs regularly @ AUH and I am truly blessed that her many culinary dishes become so popular and gained many likes 👍 and new friends too, and we become great Facebook friends thereafter ... for that I want to acknowledge her blogging contribution! Thank you !😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍
Back to my Mee Rebus review, indeed the taste gave me the incentive, talking point and motivation to write this article that I truly valued great relationship with every AUH members/ others too !
This Muslim stall, her Mee Rebus not just delectable, it has that tinge taste of “balanchan” embedded inside the strong gravy paste with the little shrimps, garnished with green cut crunchy chillies 🌶 , Tau Kwa bits and one whole egg 🥚 which I gladly removed the yolk. It served piping hot 🔥 too ! It’s has marvellous taste of Muslim local delights !
It’s Mee Rebus ... Yummily 😋 Great 👍!
