My wife and I had a brisk walk from home then U turn to this favourite market.



As she craved for her Kway Chap (#) with the QQ texture of the Old School Kway (the thicker version of Kway Teow), cooked to perfection and soaked in the Braised Meat broth upon served, garnished with coriander leaves and spring onions + power weapon of Fried garlics ๐Ÿง„ for its crunchiness and pairing with the vinegar coated chillies ๐ŸŒถ sauce. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿคฉ



Added the ala-carte dishes of tau pok: tau kwa; braised egg; lean meat; small intestines (which I donโ€™t eat! ๐Ÿคฃ) and for me : 2 bowls of Kway ... total : $15. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿคฉ โญ๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘





As Always ... consistency flavour and quality the call of the morning ! Our favourite Kway Chap ... Yummily ๐Ÿ˜‹ Great ๐Ÿ‘!



# What is Kway Chap ?

It is one of the many local delectable dishes ...

Kway Chap consists of 2 parts:

(A) Kway is the broader rice sheet cut to smaller pieces of easy digestion.

(B) Dark soy-based broth; and pairing of braised items like : pig trotters, pig intestines small or bigger version; 3 layered pork belly; pig tongue, lean meat; pig skin; salted preserved vegetables, peanuts; braised egg; tau pok(Fried bean curd); tau kee (fried bean curd) ; tau kwa (tofu) etc ....
