Whatโs so good ๐?
This stall has been my all-timed favourite Fish Soup stalls for at least 3 decades since my teenager years as I swim at nearby swimming complex and studied around the area of MacPherson/ Aljunied.
This Senior Couples of at least 70years still as loving ๐ฅฐ and hardworking as b4, I always admiring their close relationship as they eke-out a living by selling Fish ๐ Soup & Braised Duck ๐ฆ in their stall, and keeping the price low despite inflation and rental hike... as most of the residents becoming of age and grew older ... ๐ฏ ๐คฉ โญ๏ธ ๐
The ever long Q, need patience and endurance but thankfully this evening only 3 person ahead of me, pretty fast !
Their X factors :
1. Itโs soup based brewed over a long period of fish bones ๐ฆด and added flat fish pieces and Szechuan vegetables slices to mitigate the smell of fish. ๐ณ ๐คฉ โญ๏ธ ๐
2. They sell Mackerel fish freshly slices everyday. The superb soup broth is one that makes me coming back year after year ! U shall see at least 6-8 pieces of reasonable thickness of sliced fishes inside your soup.

3. Garnished with spring onions and coriander leaves, Tung cai (to salt) the taste of the soup.
Added fragrance vegetable and tomatoes ๐ for extra dosage of great soup taste ! Amazingly itโs soup so flavourful and tasty with no MSG ! ๐ฏ ๐คฉ โญ๏ธ ๐
4. Itโs rice ๐ always laced with braised gravy to give customer a great taste along with itโs soup ๐ฅฃ! Why Braised gravy ? As they sells the braised duck ๐ฆ cut into smaller cubes and always fast selling ! Itโs sold out when my turn came. ๐ณ ๐คฉ โญ๏ธ ๐
5. Great value for your money ๐ฐ ... at $3 per bowl of soup with slices of fresh Mackerel fish and with the Old School taste, itโs a definite big plus for the many regulars and residents here ! ๐ณ ๐คฉ โญ๏ธ ๐
Its cut chillies ๐ถ DIY and self service as he cut manpower but thatโs inevitable ... ๐
It has been and shall continue except no sight of successor, thatโs a hind sight ! ๐
Nonetheless, enjoy the savouring of the Old School taste while they are still around ! ๐ช
With the long standing history support of many regulars, his business shall continue to flourish ...
