Its the Durian season ... Durian is the King of fruits in South East Asia with recent years seeing uptick from China as part of growing affluence and people savoury these King of fruits of different varieties and flavours to much of their preference and liking.
Hence, it’s one of the BIG $$ money making machine with a few hundred tonne and Million $$ sales turnover, as Singaporeans, local, expatriates and foreigners simply love to savour these durians ... 😮🤩
At this Wholesale durian stall, U shall noticed a few load full of truck filled to the brim with baskets of durians to be downloaded for sales ...

As the durians chosen and opened partially for U to preview + 👌 and loaded into an empty basket, numbered - which U must remembered! Then Q and await for your turn for another process flow : Opener in charged of opening and packing into foam boxes in front of your own eyes 👀!
The uncle told me that the price had fallen, that’s true when I compared price of 1 month ago, down by $3 for MSW ... 😃
After which, the final process is vacuum sealed done sequentially and professionally done ✅! 😮 🤩⭐️ 👍
I vividly remembered I had a fling with Durians during my poly vacation days when I worked with my 2nd brother selling Segamat Durians D24 in those hey days in the 80s ... in a make shift stall just outside Econ Minimart shops at 78 Circuit road ... it’s OJT (On the job) training how to select, open, pack and negotiate with customers too ! It’s was fun and when the night closes, U may not want to see your own hands 🖐 🤚 filled with spikes holes and the scratched by its spikes of the durians despite having gloves on ... 😮
Bringing these vacuum packed durians to my Parents-In-Laws to share the bountiful King of Fruits with the family.
My wife’s favourites too ! While my two adult kids never like ... so, it’s out Durians’ feast this evening ! 😮 🤩
