Mathew Leong, sous chef at the highly acclaimed Restaurant À L’aise in Oslo, joins Affluent Society, a global business, lifestyle and social media owned by Platinum Circle, the world's leading business group consisting of corporations with annual revenues exceeding USD100 million, governments and intergovernmental organisations.


Mathew provides an expert voice on French cuisine in Norway, and encourages greater collaboration and cooperation between food, culinary talents, diners, producers and Affluent Society as his official social media.


Mathew serves as a contributor to Affluent Society, sharing his slice of gastronomy with readers and followers as part of the media's Food Craving Series and his personal Bocuse d’Or journey. He will also be a guest judge and critic in the media's Eat the World Singapore Edition as a Singaporean working in Norway.

About Mathew Leong: Mathew Leong is the sous chef of A L’aise, a MICHELIN Plate restaurant in Oslo, Norway. He won the 2019 Bocuse d’Or Singapore Selection, and represents his country in the Asia-Pacific selection of the Bocuse d'Or, prior to the finals in Lyon in 2021. Previously he worked at one-MICHELIN-starred restaurant RE-NAA in Stavanger, Tippling Club and FiSK.
