Watching The Frick's cocktail and art presentation brought back fond memories of evenings at MONTI in Singapore and its 'Ministry of Madness'.
The cocktail resembled a freaky experiment of chemicals bubbling and spewing mists, complete with sticks and a charred fruit.
Created for the Singapore Cocktail Festival, it reflected the multiculturalism in this global city by marrying international and local ingredients. Bacardi 8 and Cointreau were mixed with fresh lemongrass, fresh passionfruit and gula melaka to create a flavour profile that was sweet, refreshing and tropical. The fresh basil leaves provided a touch of Italy.
A delicious way to start any evening.
