Victorian Government Business Support Grant ends 1 June

The Victorian Government launched the AUD500 million Business Support Fund as part of its AUD1.7 billion Economic Survival Package to help small businesses survive the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep people in work.


Applications for the grant amount of AUD10,000 per business closes at 11.59pm AEST, 1 June 2020.


The Business Support Fund operates through two Streams:


1) Stream One targets small businesses that meet the standard eligibility criteria and operate in industry sectors that have been subject to closure or highly impacted by COVID-19 shutdown restrictions announced by the Victorian Government.


2) Stream Two provides support to small businesses in any other sectors that meet the standard eligibility criteria and are enrolled as eligible participants registered to receive support through the Commonwealth Government’s JobKeeper Payment scheme.


Businesses applying will be required to attest to their eligibility and provide supporting documentation including a Business Activity Statement through the application process. Applicants will also be subject to audit by the Victorian Government or its representatives.
