Sydney Olympic Park is a large sports and entertainment complex in Sydney. The area was redeveloped for the 2000 Olympics. The facilities built continue to be used for sporting, musical, and cultural events, including the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Festival, and a number of world-class sporting fixtures. It hosted the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and is now open to the public. ANZ Stadium hosts major sporting matches and concerts by the likes of U2 and The Rolling Stones but was first memorialised as the venue where Cathy Freeman won an Olympic gold medal. It also hosts the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show, which is a 14-day festival that brings all things rural to the city, showcasing the finest fresh produce, livestock and wines.
