The Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW), located in Sydney is the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia. The Gallery's first public exhibition opened in 1874.
There is an extensive collection of Australian art, including one of the largest galleries of Aboriginal art in the country, alongside European masters, Asian treasures and leading local and international contemporary art. There are also regular guided tours offered in Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean. Tours are also available for vision and hearing impaired visitors.
