Taisiya Tetyusheva is a resident and tour guide with Matrёshka Tours in Saint Petersburg. She is in love with Russia's cultural center especially its secret places.
"Saint Petersburg resembles a puzzle box. You can open the box, admire the patterns, touch the jewelry. But if someone tells you that the box has a double bottom, you will be surprised that the most interesting thing is hidden from the eyes of a philistine. This secret courtyard is my favorite. Located just two-minute walk from the Central point of Nevsky Prospekt, it is so well hidden that even the locals don't know about it. St. Petersburg is filled with such places, roofs, tiny ancient theaters, museum-apartments, bars and restaurants, stories and legends".
Affluent Society would like to thank Taisiya for sharing her photo and comment with our Destination Revisited Series. This is our way of supporting the global and local tourism industry, which has been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to seeing you in Saint Petersburg!
All of us live somewhere with interesting sights. We travel to new destinations. Some of us jet-set and live in different places around the world. Affluent Society's Destination Revisited Series reminds us that travel is still possible during these COVID-19 times by posting and sharing photos of places and experiences. It gets us dreaming and inspires our travel plans for the foreseeable future. This post adds to the Destination Revisited Series. Now it's time to share yours.
