JMQ Jazz is a versatile, stylish, horn-led Jazz Australian jazz combo, which offers timeless Standards, with a hint of New York Bebop. The pandemic has closed their venues and cancelled their shows. For a brief moment, they managed to get together for a couple of socially distanced sessions.
JMQ Jazz miss performing in front of its regular Melbourne audience. While waiting for their next live gig, the band has shared with Affluent Society some of its performances including this Motown Classic "Do you love me" piece with the Grand WaZoo. Grand WaZoo's soul man, Wylie J Miller leads the song supported by Samantha Morley and Joys Njambi. We'd love you to watch this video, make comments on this post or our Facebook, and share it so the musicians know they are not forgotten. Like many of its counterparts in cities around the world, the live entertainment industry in Melbourne has been devastated. Our readers and followers in Melbourne have shared some of their favourites going under or struggling to keep it together. Affluent Society is working with you to support your local entertainers by raising their profile and drawing attention to their good works.
