Legendary Singer, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam passes away due to Covid-19 : The loss is irreplaceable.

Legendary singer, Balasubrahmanyam was hospitalised in August at MGM Healthcare after he was tested positive for Covid-19. After suffering from the deadly coronavirus, he passed away on Friday, 25th of September. Reports reveal that he was at the ventilation from quite some time. He passed away at the age of 74.


Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam was an Indian musician, playback singer, music director, actor, dubbing artist and film producer who worked predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi & Malayalam films. He has sang over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages. He was believed to have held the "Guinness World Record" for recording the highest number of songs by a singer with over 40,000 songs, which is a world record.

He has won innumerable awards which also includes a total of six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer. He was also awarded the prestigious Padma Shri (2001) and Padma Bhushan by the Indian government, for his contributions to the Indian Cinema.


He was a real legend in its truest sense and millions of new artist looked up to him as an source of inspiration.

The loss is irreplaceable and the nation shall remember his name for ages to come. Sending condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace. He'll always live in our hearts.
