Hathras gang rape survivor who was battling for life passes away today.

The 19-year old dalit girl was raped by four men from the dominant caste men in her village on 14th of September. She was picking up fodder in her village when those mens attacked her. She was dragged by her neck into a field where she was brutally gang raped. She was left paralysed with severe injuries in the spinal cord. Her tongue, spinal cord has been permanently damaged with several other injuries in the body. The matter only came out when she able to give a statement to the police, a week after being hospitalised. All the four accused she had named have been arrested for gang rape & attempt to murder on the sections of SC/ST Act. The Harthas Police was handling the case. But later on 29th of September, the 19-year-old dalit girl from Hathras succumbed to injuries in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday morning.

Remember the 2012 Delhi gang rape that led to huge protests and changes to the country's rape laws? But looks like nothing has changed and womens are still not safe in India. Day by Day, situations are getting worse and its the womens who're suffering.
