Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones, passes away in Mumbai due to heart attack.



Dean Jones was present in India as the host broadcaster of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) that's taking place in Dubai. He had a massive heart attack at a hotel in Mumbai and passed away on Thursday at 12 PM.


Dean Jonas was an Australian cricketer, coach and commentary. He played Tests and One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Australia.

Dean Jones played 52 Tests & 164 ODIs for Australia during an international career which spanned 8 years between 1984 and 1992. He scored 3631 runs in red-ball cricket at an average of 46.55 with 11 hundred and 14 half-centuries.

In one-day internationals he amassed 6068 runs at 44.61 with 7 hundreds and 46 fifties. In 2019 Jones was given a title into the "Australian Cricket Hall of Fame."


Dean Jones was signed up for commentary on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, that's going on at present. Due to which he was at a hotel in Mumbai. But due to sudden heart attack he passed away on 24th of September, at the age of 59.

He was an inspiration for millions and the cricket world will always remember him as a legend. Sending condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.
