Durga Puja 2020 guidelines : CM Mamata Banerjee.

With the ongoing pandamic situation the world is struggling with, Durga Puja celebrations were at a mess. Durga Puja is one of the most important festival of India, especially for the Bengalis. Not just in India, it's celebrated all over the globe. There was a lot of confusion about this year's Durga Puja, due to the pandamic situation.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee finally announces guidelines for the Durga Puja festival and requested all the organisers to keep the pandals open from all four sides.

~ Mamata Banerjee announces grant of Rs 50,000 to each Durga Puja committee.

~ Cultural programmes won't be allowed at the pandals during Durga Puja.

~ The people visiting the pandals will have to follow all COVID-19 protocols of social distancing, mask use, personal hygiene issued by the union ministry of health and family welfare and state government.

~ 80,000 hawkers across the state will also be provided a one-time grant of Rs 2000 ahead of the Durga Puja.

Durga Puja is the most awaited festival, but the Covid-19 pandemic has just spoiled it entirely.

Now we have to wait till the Pujas, to see what actually happens and how the city of joy manages to celebrate it's greatest festival, with all the precautions in mind.
