Costa Rica: Is Costa Rica an island?

Just to clarify Costa Rica is not an island, and it has never been an island. It belongs to the American Continent, Costa Rica is part of Central America and is bordering Nicaragua on the north and Panama on the south. Some confused my country with Puerto Rico, which is an island. We have been for many years part of the American continent.

Costa Rica is a small country in Central America but NOT an Island.
