Bevie's Mood: Please Don't Go Girl - New Kids On The Block

I had to go through my list of songs to find some suitable recommendations for my vocal student and voila! I chanced upon one of my all time faves from my very first boy band, New Kids On The Block. In fact, they were a huge part of the reason as to why I wanted to sing and also a huge influence on me musically.

If it wasn't for their manager Maurice Starr, who not only produced Menudo (Ricky Martin was a member) but also wrote most of their songs, I don't know if they'd be half as popular as they were. Blending Motown and Bubblegum Pop, coupled with the charm and good looks of 5 talented singers, I'd say Maurice Starr found his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Anyways, happy hump day! Remember to find a reason to smile tonight and don't forget to celebrate yourselves. Even the smallest achievement is still an achievement.
