Former President, Pranab Mukherjee passes away at the age of 84 after battling with a long term illness.

On 10th August, Pranab Mukherjee was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi. At first he went through an brain surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain. Soon after that, his condition deteriorated and he was in coma for quite some time. Later this month, he was also tested positive for Covid-19.

Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijit Mukherjee, took to Twitter to make the announcement about the dismissal of his father. In the post, he said, "With a Heavy Heart, this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away in spite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers, duas & prarthanas from people throughout India! I thank all of You."


Pranab Mukherjee's death has broke the entire nation's heart, for the country has lost one of the greatest leader of all time.

~ He was also the youngest 'Union Finance Minister' at the age of 47.
