If you are a US resident, you may now travel to the 50th state without the previously mandatory 14 day quarantine requirement, if you are able to meet Hawaii's new pre-travel testing conditions. You
must now take a nucleic acid amplification test, such as a PCR test, from an approved testing partner no more than 72 hours before departure to Hawaii. Please check each island's requirements, as they may vary. Japan is also in talks with the state to try to arrange an reopening plan for them. For more information on current testing requirements, please check https://hidot.hawaii.gov/coronavirus/
As we know, Hawaii has been on extended shutdowns, to keep their covid numbers down. Now that they are reopening, they will continue to take measures to keep the state safe, while trying to open their economy back up. So if you go to visit, please show your aloha to the people and the land, by wearing your mask and social distancing.
