What’s so good 😊?
After sending wife and elder son to work at SGH, I shall do my rounds ... but decided to go for some comforting breakfast 1st.
So, “7 early 8 early” (literal translation of 七早八早 ... 🤣! I decided to come to this nostalgic hawker centre of Jalan Kukoh, one of the older generation of Hawkers of an inverted U shape, one scanning glance at the centre, U shall know what kind of food sold here ...
My typical comfort food : Combo of Chee Cheong Fun and Yam Cake ... Why ?
Chee Cheong Fun, steaming rice flour roll sliced up, served piping hot🔥 and added their home made processed soya bean paste, added their chillies 🌶 , shall spiced up my day ... its one of my most comforting food ever as it’s silky smooth, added with sesame seed for that little tiny crunch, fragrances with oil and pairing well with any form of chillies.
Next, it’s piping hot 🔥 yam cake, slices up, soft and nice smooth texture with bits size of yam 🍠 pieces, easy to bite and swallow. Its taste so nostalgically and well cooked.
As both items are smooth in nature, it shall hopefully bring smooth and safe journey for me & everyone ... that’s a little connotation of life !🙏🏻 😊
Sipping great Nanyang Kopi and watching the world 🌍 goes by ... 🤩
