Just A Story

Updated: Apr 27

Many things in life are beyond your control, such as which family you will be born into, what kind of parents you will be raised by, the schools the adults arrange for you to attend, or the growing environments you will be exposed to before you become independent.

Life was tough growing up in the '70s, especially born into a traditional yet dysfunctional family. Beaten up daily for no good reason with any kind of abuse imaginable. All your needs as a girl and a child were neglected, and your first memory at the age of 5 associated only pain and misery.

Fast forward a few decades, you still don’t understand much about life, you just work hard to take care of everyone labeled as your family. One by one, they repay their debts on earth and return home. You experienced twice failed relationships, both are nice people but never know the true meaning of love, nor how to provide and protect a family. You bravely walked out with a blessed child, a new job, a thousand dollars, a small rental unit and you never look back. Another blessing is that there is no animosity between you and your ex; instead, you all send each other the best wishes as friends.

You made a '10 years' promise to your newborn and you fulfilled it on time. A higher income, a new home, and his own bedroom with all the things you can provide. Though you are not yet wealthy, as society defines success, you know you have done well by His grace. Do all of these things have an impact on your life? Yes, but it doesn't have to be always negative because some people, like yourself, are simply fueled by life's challenges and emerge stronger than ever.

[For The Readers]

It's fine to be sad from time to time, and it's okay to grumble and complain every now and then because you're human... However, you should never allow yourself to stay down for too long because you only live once, and you don't have that much time.

Believe in yourself and don't give in to fate; if a beautiful life is what you desire, trust that you can create.
